4 Weeks – 1 day per week
$160
DDA Full Weekly Classes also also refered to as (Sessions) are a series of 4 meetings (Day possible Night) which meet 1 day per week for 4 straight weeks. Actors are given a monologue and a scene, as well as assigned a scene partner. Actors perform both monologues and scenes, which are taped the first meeting and the last meeting. All tapes will be available online and will be downloadable via private link. These Sessions are 4 weeks straight followed by a 1 week break, and then the next session starts. The real success of this work has been born out though the success of the actors that participated. The notes given in Weekly Classes are very detailed and personal to each individual actor for each piece of material. DDA never “tells” an actor what to do, but instead, leads the artist through the material until they find their own way. This is usually done in front of the entire group, which adds significantly to the advancement in proficiency of both actors currently up working on stage as well as those in the audience.
1 Week – 2 days per week
$80
DDA Mini Sessions are run exactly like Weekly Sessions but they are condensed into 2 days in the same week with 1 day in between.
So students have their work taped the first day on a scene or a monologue, receive detailed notes with personal coaching exactly like weekly classes, and then, spend the next day working the notes into the monologue or scene with their partner, and bring the piece back the next day for final taping. We will all watch the tapes together, and DDA and will discuss the work for each.
Cost: $160 – $80 | Time: 4 weeks or 1 week 2 days
DDA training is structured as close as possible to the reality actors face pursuing this career. That goes for everyone involved from pre-production to ADs, to costume department, hair and makeup, grips, location managers, catering, background, and even the teamsters. Below are some of the class session activities you can expect when training with DDA.
